What you Will Do: The Training Specialist IV will be a classroom/virtual trainer and curriculum developer who performs highly complex (senior-level) duties.Work involves coordinating, developing, evaluating and conducting training sessions using a variety of training methods. May serve as team lead providing guidance to others. Works under limited supervision, with moderatelatitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. You Will be Trusted To: - Developand delivera wide variety of Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) training topics to VR staff using approved department guidelines. - Collaboratewith Texas Workforce Solutions (TWS) management to assess training needs. - Developtraining strategies and/or training solutions to meet customer requirements. - Coordinateand conducttrain-the-trainer workshops and project meetings. - Buildpositive working relationships with subject-matter experts and co-workers to accomplish the department's goals and objectives. - Preparedocuments, such as correspondence, reports, and training materials, with a high degree of accuracy using acceptable format and grammar. - Serveas mentor for other training staff on occasion. - Advocatefor a culture of continuous learning throughout the Texas Workforce System (TWS). - Perform other duties as assigned. You Qualify With: - Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in human resources, organizational development, education, or a related field. AND - Three years of experience in positions that provided knowledge of training methods, techniques, and materials as related to individual development, education, and training programs; or in positions that provided knowledge of agency operation or programs which included giving group presentations. OR - One year of qualifying experience may be substituted for each year (30 semester hours) of education. You Are a Great Fit With: - Experience in vocational rehabilitation. - Skill in delivering training to adults in a classroom or virtual platform such as TEAMS or ZOOM. - Experience with case management tools and processes - Experience working with individuals who have different abilities and accessibility needs or in an environment addressing functional limitations. - Experience developing and revising training curricula to meet specific business requirements. - Commitment to delivering excellent customer service. - Ability to travel 50%.
