Eaton’s Corporate Sector is currently seeking a Value Capture Lead – Digital CI to join our team. This position is based at our Southfield, MI location. Position Overview: The primary responsibility of this role will be to prospect, coordinate, support, manage, and lead major continuous improvement events alongside supply chain, operations, VA/VE and engineering leaders to improve product cost supporting all businesses globally. The focus will be on developing, maintaining and leveraging event standard work to build a robust pipeline of negotiation, resourcing, process improvement, and VA/VE ideas. This position will work as part of SCM Digitalization team in direct alignment with the overall Global Supply Chain Management strategy. In this function you will: Build, refine, and sustain standard work for virtual Continuous Improvement events. Embed virtual event standard work into the Eaton Business System. Prospect, coordinate, support, manage, and lead major virtual cost out events across Eaton globally leveraging disruptive digital tools and techniques, such as crowdsourcing. Identify proper stakeholders from functions, businesses, and Centers of Excellence to facilitate diverse brainstorming events. Secure business and functional sponsorship across all leadership levels. Leverage events and proactive analysis, build and maintain an active pipeline of negotiation, resourcing, process improvement and VA/VE projects. Ensure proper documentation and prioritization of cost savings opportunities developed during events. Manage portfolio of ideas captured during events, conduct regular follow-ups, ensure data integrity of projects and drive closure on savings. Report on events status, progress and pipeline to all stakeholders. Assess portfolio risks and escalate roadblocks where necessary. Mentor, consult and train others on process standards and use of best practices. Using Design Thinking approaches, collect Voice of the Customer and Lessons Learned at regular intervals to ensure value creation is aligned with the strategic needs of the business. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering 3+ years’ experience managing large cost out or cross-functional projects using project management fundamentals. 8+ years’ work experience in engineering, supply chain and/or a manufacturing environment. No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Southfield, MI will be considered. Diverse experience working across and influencing outside functions (especially engineering, operations, marketing and supply chain) and cultures. Understand engineering concepts and processes. Analyze engineering drawings, 3D models, specifications and certification documents. Successful candidate will have knowledge of manufacturing, supply chain and engineering processes (e.g., material management, manufacturing operations, cost accounting, quality processes and procedures, project management, cost out tracking/accounting, Lean manufacturing, PLM change processes, PROLaunch NPI, and Eaton standard sourcing processes). Proficiency with software tools and platforms such Microsoft Power Apps, Enovia PLM (or similar), Qlikview, Power BI, 3D modeling software, Eaton’s GPS and statistical analysis is required. Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal and professional presence with internal/external customers and suppliers. Must achieve results through others not directly in reporting structure at various levels. Ability to explain and train others on VAVE concepts. Candidate must have inherent ambition, drive, enthusiasm and strong practical technical experience. Exhibit a highly entrepreneurial sense of urgency along with a passion for the continuous improvement is desirable, along with a drive to grow both personally and professionally. Ability to lead a cross functional team in a group setting is a must. Position Criteria: MBA or master’s degree in related field.
