Optum’s Enterprise Clinical Technology Team is seeking a Product Analyst.

As part of our Optum Virtual Care Product team, in this role you will play a significant part in creating new features and enhancements for Optum Virtual Care Platform. You will support product(s) such as Appointment Scheduling, Video/Audio/Chat/Notifications, Payments, Eligibility & Benefits, Consent & Preference Management components that support the overall Patient and Care Team virtual visit user experiences. The nature of this role is understanding the problem at hand and coming up with the solution to drive the end-to-end delivery for the assigned product. You will work closely with other teams such as software engineering, sales, operations, business SME’s and implementation as well as engaging with a broad group of decision makers from executives to engineering leaders.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Driving requirement decisions/clarifications with CDH (Center Digital Health) and working with CDH partners (Business Product Owner) to co-manage the product category
  • Being objective and participating in all forums for the product category.  Being the thought leader and driving decisions that makes sense for the customer
  • Driving solutioning and grooming discussions with scrum teams and ensuring the release milestone dates are met
  • Being engaged and informed on the status of the assigned features and participating in scrum team ceremonies
  • Writing user stories and coordinating the flow/delivery of the user stories that need to be implemented by dependent team
  • Demoing features for acceptance sign off from the business
  • Validating and Accepting user stories at mid sprint demos
  • Maintaining required fields in Rally and being diligent about remediating audit discrepancies
  • Managing and prioritizing scrum team backlog, supporting capacity and velocity metrics and negotiating with the business what can be supported for each release
  • Creating cross application features when dependency/E2E tracking is needed
  • Collaborating with OCM Core team to create and link features when there are impacts to existing microproducts
  • Being accountable for defects related to assigned features
  • Documenting decisions/risks/requirement questions in the Rally "Discussions" tab of the feature
  • Leading analysis to determine if new/updated feature is feasible for targeted release and keeping the business and engineering leads informed and aligned.  
  • Raising risks/impediments and IRAAD entries and driving those issues to resolution

Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of experience in a product analyst/owner or product development role delivering tangible results within healthcare
  • Experience executing strategies for functions or disciplines that span a large business unit or multiple markets/sites
  • Experience working issues with proven ability to bring to resolution
  • Experience mapping consumer journeys using various UI/UX tools
  • Knowledge of Agile Methodology in product development

  • Capability to work with people at multiple levels within an organization
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills, organization, presentation and facilitation skills
  • Solid team player with demonstrated interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Self-starter and ability to understand the “why” and leverage that understanding to drive to solutions and mitigation plans
  • Ability to use persuasion and sound judgment to create consensus among stakeholders
  • Ensure activities are appropriately aligned into the strategic direction, as well as the mission and values of the company
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Colorado Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $79,700 to $142,600.
