Description

The Kenan-Flagler Business School is currently testing a remote/hybrid work model as part of a larger University pilot program. This position is eligible for remote/hybrid work through March 31, 2022.

The Sr. Developer is a key part of the KF-Next initiative, which uses emerging technologies such as virtual reality and artificial intelligence teaching experiences to increase student learning outcomes and help students become better business decision makers. 

This technical leader will join a team of proven business professionals, faculty, visual artists, computer scientists and futurists developing cutting edge instructional technology to research and solve specific problems facing business education. Specifically, the Sr. Developer will serve as a technical point of contact, collaborate with cross-functional teams, architect, design and code complex system and analyze, test and lead support of existing systems. The software systems designed by the Sr. Developer will include local storage in our UNC data center and remotely with cloud storage and will require complex networking and security protocols The position will serve as a subject matter expert on cutting edge artificial intelligence and virtual reality programming and will research/stay abreast of technology trends and best practices. 

This role is a hybrid between management of development resources and hands-on development of Ai (Artificial Intelligence) and VR (Virtual Realty) instruction systems from the user experience to the server maintenance. The job requires the ability to manage and lead multiple technical products from ideation to product launch while managing local and remote development teams and contractors. The position will report to the Director of the Kenan-Flagler Next program.
