  • POSITION : Software Engineering Intern (focus on Virtual Reality)

  • DEPARTMENT : Digital & Technology - Data & Analytics Organization

  • REPORTS TO : UX Senior Director

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

In this role, you will investigate, concept, and prototype new experiences for Virtual Reality (VR) using evolving technologies. The ideal candidate for this role has a strong background and interest in designing human-centered experiences in an ambiguous space and is comfortable working in a dynamic and creative environment. Looking for individuals experienced with UNITY development, and with experience developing for Virtual Reality (OCULUS VR, OPEN VR, etc.).

EDUCATION:

Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Human Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Interaction Design, Digital Media, Game Design, or similar area of study.

EXPERIENCE :

0-2 Years

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Self-starter with a passion and curiosity for AR/VR, building with new technologies

  • Brainstorm new modeling and rendering concepts

  • Experience prototyping for and collaborating on spatial/immersive design problems (VR, AR, game design, etc.)

  • Brainstorm new modeling and rendering concepts

  • Ability to create and manage an easy-to-navigate 3D asset library and produce conceptual illustrations, diagrams, as well as artistic and photorealistic renderings

  • Develop and refine the design for projects of varying sizes and scope

  • Appropriate implementation of computer, VR/AR, and physical modeling on projects

  • Skilled in current and emerging technology, focused on immersive and experiential platforms

  • Ability to meet with teams and collaborators to identify best approaches to meet needs

  • Experience with VR walk-throughs and setups

  • Solid interpersonal and communication skills are a must - must take ownership of their work

  • Ability to adapt to changing business needs in a maturing environment

  • A strong portfolio or demo reel that demonstrates their attention to the details, understanding of color theory and the ability to use color, light, and shadow.

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Unreal, Unity /VR Kit

  • Machine learning interest a plus

  • 3D Graphic Softwares (3Ds Max, Maya, Blender)

  • Comfortable with complex data processing methodologies

PRACTICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Creative problem solver

  • Strong mathematical ability

  • Attention to detail

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • 3D Asset Creation and rendering

  • Fast paced Agile and TDD software delivery environment
