Onsite/Remote:Onsite Position

This position is eligible for a flexible work schedule arrangement at the present time. The arrangement may be delayed for training or other job acclimation purposes and remains subject to change.

Your Responsibilities

As a Virtual Reality Engineer for John Deere Dubuque Works located in Dubuque, IA, you will….

* Develop software to improve the efficiency of building Virtual Reality (VR) models and add features to current Virtual Reality (VR) simulations such as realistic motion and soil graphics.
* Build realistic virtual tractor models from engineering geometry and conduct reviews for expert operators to evaluate new designs in VR (Virtual Reality).
* Evaluate and adopt new VR (Virtual Realty) hardware and software.

What Skills You Need

* Proficient in Python, C++, and C#
* Experience with CAD or other 3D modeling software
* Self-motivated and can learn new things independently.
* Strong collaboration and verbal communication skills

What Makes You Stand Out

* Experience with Unity, Unreal, and/or VRED software
* Knowledge of VR hardware such as HTC Vive, Oculus Rift, Microsoft HoloLens
* Experience with physics software such as CM Labs Vortex or Algoryx
* Construction or Agricultural equipment experience
* Experience with electronics such as Arduino
* Knowledge of vehicle CAN systems

Education

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

* Bachelor of Science in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent degree/experience
* Or a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Computer Science or equivalent degree/experience
