If you are an Operations Technical Analyst looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you!  Based in our SIDNEY, OH location, you will have the ability to look at existing business processes and make specific recommendations regarding metrics requirements and data needs in order to improve operational quality and processes. The right candidate will be able to collaborate in technical data initiatives while delivering solutions, reports, and analytics.
 
AS AN Operations Technical Analyst , YOU WILL: 

Support and improve Oracle reporting and data analytics for ongoing improvements and future implementation projects work with internal and external customers to develop and analyze business intelligence needs/requirements
Design dashboards, alerts, and reports that drive proactive actions to identify and address critical issues
Data Modeling: requirements gathering, data source connections, data model construction, ETL/BI development, testing, solution deployment, and maintenance
Assist with the ongoing development of reports and analytics
Work with groups and IT to consolidate data and compile for reporting additional Information
Ability to travel internationally

WHO YOU ARE:
You must be self-starter with the drive and motivation to quickly learn and complete tasks on time. You must be able to collaborate and effectively communicate in a cross-functional team environment.
 

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
Bachelor's degree in a technical major
Two (2) years related experience
Advanced skills in MS Office
Experience with industry 4.0.
Proven ability to manage implementation projects from end to end. 
Strong analytics skills with the ability to collect, organize, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
Experience creating Dashboards/Reports with Enterprise level BI Tool
Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Excellent strategic, analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills and ability to utilize experience to improve
processes
General understanding of business processes
Basic understanding of data structures and storage 
Ability to multi-task and successfully develop and execute plans in a dynamic environment
Creative, open-minded, and enthusiastic about seeking new solutions to challenges

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:  
Working knowledge with Oracle EBS
Experience with Tableau or other similar BI tools
Basic SQL programming / ETL
Basic MS PowerApps / 365 tools
Demonstrated aptitude for learning new technologies
Experience with augmented reality and virtual reality
Knowledge of statistics with model building experience a plus
