The primary focus for this Data Analyst position will evolve around customer data. A successful candidate will have proven analytical and Business Intelligence skills, a strong background in database management, and recognize the importance of data analytics and data management in driving sound marketing decisions.

Key Responsibilities of the Data Analyst Job:

Data Analytics:

  • Assist with determining what data that is needed, structuring it in an appropriate format, analyzing the data, and create reports and visualizations for decision-makers
  • Establish KPIs to measure the effectiveness of business decisions
  • Assist in developing a strategy for targeted marketing campaigns
  • Design insightful reports that show the effectiveness of campaigns and highlight areas where improvement is needed
  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns
  • Ability to go beyond data collection to develop actionable insight that will help drive marketing

Database Management

  • Perform analysis of marketing database
  • Mining data from primary and secondary sources
  • Collaborate with programmers and organizational leaders to identify opportunities for process improvements, recommend system modifications, and develop policies for data governance.
  • Help drive continuous improvement initiatives and best practices as it pertains to data management

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies Required for the Data Analyst job:

  • Experience with or other CRM software packages is a must
  • Experience in data cleaning, data visualization, and data modeling
  • An analytical mind and inclination for problem-solving
  • Be proficient in spotting trends, uncovering opportunities, and predicting outcomes
  • Advanced MS Excel skills (Macros/VBA, Pivot Tables & Conditional Formatting) and competent in other MS Office solutions
  • Ability to blend descriptive, diagnostic, and predictive analytics into sound data-driven plans
  • Excellent communications skills, ability to present findings in a variety of written and verbal reports to sales and marketing peers
  • Proficient project management skills
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues globally and across many timelines
  • Work on multiple projects with competing priorities
