Northrop Grumman Defense Systems (NGDS), Sierra Vista, AZ is currently seeking a VR Developer. The successful candidate has a broad skill set balanced between interpersonal and technical capabilities, is an effective communicator and problem solver who can work independently and collaborate as a team player. The ideal person will participate in the entire software development lifecycle with a concentration in C# code and will look for unique and efficient ways to meet the challenges presented to our team. The ideal candidate must be familiar with the Unity game engine and the creation of VR scenes using SteamVR or OpenXR for the development of military-based training content.

Qualifications for the role:
This requisition may be filled at either a level 1 or a level 2.
Basic Qualifications for an Associate Developer 1 are Bachelor's Degree with 0 years experience or 4 years' experience in lieu of degree. Basic Qualifications for a Developer 2 are Bachelor's Degree with 2 years' experience OR 6 years in lieu of degree.

A portfolio of past projects or example projects.
US Citizenship required.
Ability to obtain and maintain an Active DoD Secret Clearance
Demonstrated advanced capabilities with Unity, like extending existing code, multi-player, complex decision-trees/ state machines, and developing editor tools.
Experience with the Software Development Life Cycle using the Agile processes with Atlassian products and version control (Jira, Bitbucket).
Experience with Immersive Technologies (VR, AR, other).
Ability to quickly grasp and communicate technical subjects clearly and concisely.
Experienced leader who supports individual growth and a mentor to less experienced team members.

Preferred Qualifications
Relevant Unity Certifications (Unity Certified Professional Programmer or Certified Expert Programmer).
Experience with 3D simulations / physics engines.
Knowledge in backend code for store fronts similar to the Unity Asset Store.
Strong interviewing and listening skills.
Strong usability and testing skills.
Good organizational skills.
Active DoD TS Secret Clearance.

Salary Range: $55,100 - $99,800

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
